The average head weighs 10–12 lb (4.5–5.4 kg), but tilt it just 30 degrees forward to look at a phone and your cervical spine carries the equivalent of 40 lb (18 kg). Over hours of daily use, this “tech neck” posture compresses the C5–C7 vertebrae, tightens the upper trapezius and overloads the suboccipital muscles at the base of the skull.
This adjustable arm eliminates the forward head posture completely. Every joint uses a precision-machined aluminum alloy housing with internal stainless steel friction discs calibrated to a specific torque tension. That means the arm holds its position under the full weight of a smartphone or small tablet for good: no sagging, no slipping, no daily re-tightening. The reinforced base clamp uses a knurled steel screw and silicone-lined jaws to grip bed frames, desks and table edges between 0.4" (1 cm) and 2.4" (6.1 cm) thick without slipping or scratching surfaces.
